Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki meets with Kuwaiti Prime Minister

BAGHDAD — Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki met with Kuwait’s Prime Minister Sheik Jaber Al Mubarak Al Sabah on June 12, 2013 in Baghdad. The meeting signaled improving relations between the neighboring countries that are still working to overcome  a legacy of war that has lasted more than two decades. The leaders hailed the recent talks as the start of a new chapter in their relationship and later signed a series of agreements aimed at improving bilateral ties in the economic and transportation sectors.
