The Jordanian government recently announced that it has signed natural gas deals with Egypt and discussed the prospects for future oil cooperation with Iraq.
Iraqi Oil Minister Abdul Kareem al-Luaibi joined Egyptian Petroleum Minister Sherif Ismail Mohamed in Amman for a trilateral energy meeting between the three countries.
Regarding Iraq, the Jordanian government said both sides expected an oil pipeline from Iraq would be able to deliver about 1 million barrels of oil to the Jordanian coastal city of Aqaba by 2018.
