Foreign Minister Meets with Mr. Robert Oliphant, Member of the Canadian House of Commons

Foreign Minister Mr. Mohamad A. Alhakim met with Mr. Robert Oliphant, member of the Canadian House of Commons . The meeting discussed enhancing cooperation between the Iraqi Council of Representatives and Canadian House of Commons.
Minister Alhakim stressed the keenness of Iraq to advance and strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries, calling on Canadian companies to invest in Iraq, especially in the field of reconstruction of infrastructure.

The discussions focused on a number of topics that serve the strategic interests, including: facilitating visa between the two countries, providing the best possible services to improve the situation of the Iraqi community in Canada, and opening a flight line between Baghdad and Ottawa.
