The Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemns the abortive incident that targeted innocent citizens in Manhattan, USA, which caused a number of casualties and injuries.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expresses its solidarity with the families of the victims and wishes speedy recovery of the injured.

We are closely following the developments in the Kurdistan region and the attacks on the headquarters of the parties as well as the media and attempts to cause chaos and disturbances in Erbil and Dohuk, which is detrimental to our citizens in the region and the general situation there, and call for adherence to the system and law and calm, and to not let political differences affect Kurdish citizens who are victims of these practices.

Foreign minister Dr. Ibrahim Al-Jaafari and the Russian vice president Mr. Demitry Roghozen headed the mutual Iraqi- Russian committee in Moscow, preparing to hold the seventh session of the committee activities on 2018.

Both sides reviewed the bilateral Iraqi- Russian economic, commercial relations, and continue working on developing the legal and Regulatory basis for the bilateral cooperation between both countries, I addition to discussing the developed cooperation in industry and increasing the efforts in developing the cooperation in Oil and Gas.
