Foreign Minister Delivers Iraq’s Speech at High-Level Segment of the 40th Session of Human Rights Council in Geneva.

Foreign Minister Mohamad A. Alhakim stressed that Iraq has presented many martyrs in the war against terrorism in defense of their country's land and unity: stating Iraq's determination to be a starting point for enhancing security and peace between different cultures and religions as a member of the Human Rights Council.

The Minister expressed the keenness of Iraq to disseminate the culture of human rights, especially in institutions that are responsible for law enforcement.

The Foreign Minister Meets the U.S. Special Envoy for Iranian Affairs in Abu Dhabi

Dr Fu’ad Hussein the minister of foreign affairs has met on Sunday 18/10/2021, the U.S. special envoy for Iranian Affairs Mr Robert Maley in Abu Dhabi, during the meeting they discussed the political and security developments in the region and its reflections, and the U.S. Iranian relations and means of enhancing the introductory dialogues which were previously conducted between the two sides.

The Foreign Minister Accompanies President on his Visit to The Vatican

The President of the Republic of Iraq Dr. Barham Salih and Foreign Minister Mr. Mohamad A. Alhakim visited the Vatican and met with Pope Francis.

An official ceremony was held to receive the President and the accompanying delegation and the Iraqi flag was raised on the Vatican to welcome the President.

The Foreign Minister Meets with US President’s Envoy to Syria
